United Anesthesiology Consultants

Case Studies

An established anesthesiology group acquired 3 additional ASCs from a departing anesthesiology group, and needed immediate short term staffing to fulfil new contractual obligations. UAC was contracted to staff for 1 year to allow the group to retain the new contracted sites while they aggressively recruit anesthesiologists. UAC were already credentialed with this client at a few facilities and the staffing at this site was seamless as it allowed the group’s leadership and other anesthesiologists to rotate through the new facilities and establish themselves.

Hospital contacted UAC due to unsuccessful negotiations with the contracted anesthesiology group to increase points of service. Current anesthesiology group unable to provide additional points of services due to labor shortage and inability to hire. UAC provided the remaining points of service on agreed upon terms while working with the existing anesthesiology group as well as administration.

A busy ASC contacted UAC for maternal leave coverage for their employed anesthesia chairman and medical director. UAC provided a physician everyday for 3 months to provide coverage and continued PRN coverage for the anesthesiologist.

CREDENTIALED SITES

We are credentialed across multiple healthcare systems and ASCs in DFW area. Kindly contact us for more information for site specific privileges.

BILLING

We do not bill patients directly. We negotiate a fair labor charge per day with the anesthesia group while allowing the anesthesia groups to retain full control of billing and continue established relationships with their contracted surgeons and/or hospitals. Our role as anesthesiology consultants is to fill staffing needs and shortages.
